(And a weekend Recap)
This past weekend was Homecoming 2014 for 4/5th’s of us Shameless Ladies and I can’t help but share our weekend (FINALLY) together! Also taking some outfit duplicates and spinoff from this weekend for today’s post. Here are 3 Stupendous Staples to help get you into the fall spirit as fast as a Starbuck’s Pumpkin Spice Latte. Besides great friends always at your side, some great Fall Staples should include:
Boots, Tights and Finisher
- A great sweater, poncho or parka that can be a finisher to bring your look full circle.
- Switching between your favorite pairs of ankle boots and a really great simple pair of knee-length boots always help add to a look.
- A simple black or brown solid pair of tights for the days where you are feeling like less is more (and black tights always seem to tie in a look effortlessly)
But before all that, here's this weekend's Snaps of our Shameless Shenanigans:
Boots, Tights, and Finishers:
Having a simple boyfriend style jean, cuffed, with ankle boots gives a casual go-anywhere feel to this poncho.
Adding black tights and ankle boots gives this dress a fall feel without taking away from the statement this dress is clearly trying to make (weekend duplicate).
A simple dress shirt under the poncho with tights, and spandex pencil skirt, and ankle boots helps make this look business casual, and, super comfortable all at the same time!
Since these pictures are happening in an unfinished barn at my house, and I was called “Super North Jersey” this weekend, I wanted to play up my horse land hometown. For comfortable apple picking, pumpkin picking, any type of fall picking look, add a flannel, (my) favorite overall dress, tons of plaid, and buckled ankle boots to set the tone of the “new aged” farm girl.
Switch out the button-down for a black t-shirt or turtleneck, and switch heels for knee high boots, add a scarf or a statement necklace and your new looks calls for a day of shopping in the city on a beautiful fall day. (P.S. -if you couldn’t tell by the bag, Style Camp is an awesome store in Chestnut Hill in Philly that had the best clothes and is run by a fellow PhilaU Alumni and her mother; what’s not to love! Best purchase for fall by far made this weekend).
Lastly, some Sunday shopping shots:
Pssst! Don’t forget to check out Chestnut Hill and their amazing shops when your get the chance!
