Lets Talk Pre Fall 15.. Do’s, Don’ts and Everything In-between

In Early December the Pre- Fall shows were launched.

and yes I am just getting around to reviewing it and finding the trends…

I know fall is a while away, But let get on top of the trends Now!!!

I love to go to style.com and check out the shows

especially right when they come out.

But this Season there is alot going on!! And I wasnt that Impressed

Everytime I check out a New Season, I always first hit up:

Alice and Olivia, Alexander Wang, Alexander McQueen, Chloe, and of course the classics, Dior, Chanel, etc..

This season really seemed like a hit or miss. Above left is Alice and Olivia her collection really didnt surprise me from some of her previous collections. Above Right is Alexander Wang. again didnt impress me. This look above was probably my favorite due to the mix of textures and colors. Overall the collection didnt feel adventurous.

But lets not harp on the NEGATIVE:

LETS FOCUS ON THE TRENDS

TREND ONE: Oversized Outerwear…

I know this has been a trend for a while but I really just love it! I think everyone who did it really achieved a well done oversized piece!! Personally, I love the aesthetic and diversity that one is able to accomplish with this trend.

Here we have ( Lanvin, Stella McCartney, The Row, and Rachel Comey)

I Love how each designer really used the trend to inspire them. I didnt find alot of commonality when it came to shaping of the oversized look. Each one took different elements and make something beautiful!

TREND TWO: LONG LAYERS…

Layering has been a trend for years and here at broke and shameless, we are nothing short of layering upon layers… But in Pre Fall 2015 you really see layering going the distance… hehe thats a pun…. Layers are taking on the Maxi and the Pants and really only revealing themselves hat the hem

( The Row, Rag and Bone, Stella McCartney, and Proenza Schoul)

I dig this trend because of the elongated silhouette. with previous layers mainly focusing on the hips and skirts… adding alot of width to an outfit…  the layers flaring at the ankle is a interesting take.

TREND THREE: REINVENTING CHEETAH…

YEAH YOU HEARD ME!!!

I think this one is all about the way you style it. I dont love cheetah or leopard… whatever you want to call it… but i think the graphic element of changing and manipulating the print…. it extremely intriguing.

( Lanvin, Lanvin, Altuzarra, Chloe)

Honest all I really have to say here… Is I like it and I like Lanvin the besssstttt!!!

TREND FOUR: TASSELS????

I cant decide if this is coming in or out. But I like the uses of the tassels on the other trends previously stated.

That over sized coat is to die for!!!!! and I love the pairing of the top with the fabulous cheetah skirt from Lanvin…. Im curious to see where this trend goes..

TREND FIVE: WTF SEQUIN OR SHINY…. EITHER WAY I DONT LIKE IT

WHAT IS GOING ON…????? I dont like it

Honestly though, Im curious how is this going to be incorperated into street wear… Its like an excuse to whip that god awful sequin top from the last time this tried to be a thing….

Gretchen stop trying to make FETCH a thing……….

To end things on a much happier note!!!

these are the collections that are just fabulous!!!

I really see them being incorporated into everyday!!!
